1. What is a Third-Party Administrator?

A Third-party administrator (TPA) is a company that offers support to insurance companies, mutual funds, self-funded schemes, and other payers by providing them with operational services and customer support such as healthcare benefits management, claims processing and adjudication, and network management.

2. How do I get information on insurance prices and packages?

GlobeMed Kuwait is not an insurance company, GlobeMed Kuwait is a healthcare benefits management company that serves many clients, among which insurance companies.

3. How do I install the GlobeMed FIT mobile application?

Go to the Apple Store or PlayStore, search for GlobeMed FIT, or click on the QR code.

  1. Once installed, open the application and select the country: Kuwait.
  2. Insert your username and password:
  • Username: Your Insurance Number or National ID
  • Password: Your year of birth. You will then be asked to change your password.  

4. How can I find a healthcare provider under the GlobeMed Kuwait network?

To locate a healthcare provider, please download our mobile application, GlobeMed FIT, available for free on the Apple Store and Play Store. Please follow the steps enumerated in question # 3.

Once installed, you can find all healthcare providers included in GlobeMed Kuwait network under the “Find Medical Facility” feature.

You can have access to all detailed information on our healthcare providers such as the location, type, specialty and working hours.

6. What do I have to do prior to my visit at healthcare providers?

If you have an appointment at one of the healthcare providers contracted with GlobeMed Kuwait, make sure to have the documents below:

  • List of all the medications you are currently taking.
  • Your recent lab test results
  • Your digital/physical insurance card
  • Your Civil ID
  • List of all the symptoms you are currently having, by mentioning the first date you have been feeling them.



7. Am I covered outside Kuwait?

8. Why was my approval request rejected?

Your approval request might be rejected for several reasons, on a case by case basis. If you wish to know more about your rejection, kindly contact us on 1 844 644 or by email csc@globemedkuwait.com


9. How do I submit a reimbursement claim online?

In order to submit a claim for reimbursement, you are kindly requested to communicate directly with your HR department or your insurance company.

10. I have a chronic medication prescription, what do I do?

Dispensing chronic medication is always based on your insurance policy’s terms, conditions and limitation.

In case your policy covers chronic conditions, there are two ways to dispense your medication.

  1. Dispense the signed and stamped prescription from any of our network pharmacies.
  2. Apply for chronic posting, which enables you to dispense your chronic medication on monthly basis from your assigned pharmacy without the need for fresh prescription. You can obtain the form from our mobile application “GlobeMed FIT”.
  • Go to “My Policy”, click on “Forms and Manuals” and choose “Chronic Claim Form”.
  • Ask your physician to fill the form.

 

There are two ways to submit your chronic form:

  1. Through the mobile application “GlobeMed FIT”: Go to “My Claims”, click on “Make a Claim”, choose the “Request medication refill (Chronic)” option and fill all the required fields. Once filled, click “Submit”.
  2. By email:
  • Send your prescription to: csc@globemedkuwait.com   
  • Attach a copy of your Civil ID. 
  • Attach your chronic form signed and stamped by your physician.
  • Our medical approvals will process your medications and send you the status of your request.
  • You can dispense your medication from the assigned pharmacy.
